महामृत्युंजय मंत्र ऋग्वेद का एक श्लोक है.शिव को मृत्युंजय के रूप में समर्पित ये महान मंत्र ऋग्वेद में पाया जाता है.स्वयं या परिवार में किसी अन्य व्यक्ति के अस्वस्थ होने पर मेरे पास अक्सर बहुत से लोग इस मन्त्र की और इसके जप विधि की जानकारी प्राप्त करने के लिए आते हैं. इस महामंत्र के बारे में जहांतक मेरी जानकारी है,वो मैं पाठकों के समक्ष प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूँ.
महा मृत्युंजय मंत्र का पुरश्चरण सवा लाख है और लघु मृत्युंजय मंत्र की 11 लाख है.मेरे विचार से तो कोई भी मन्त्र जपें,पुरश्चरण सवा लाख करें.इस मंत्र का जप रुद्राक्ष की माला पर सोमवार से शुरू किया जाता है.जप सुबह १२ बजे से पहले होना चाहिए,क्योंकि ऐसी मान्यता है की दोपहर १२ बजे के बाद इस मंत्र के जप का फल नहीं प्राप्त होता है.आप अपने घर पर महामृत्युंजय यन्त्र या किसी भी शिवलिंग का पूजन कर जप शुरू करें या फिर सुबह के समय किसी शिवमंदिर में जाकर शिवलिंग का पूजन करें और फिर घर आकर घी का दीपक जलाकर मंत्र का ११ माला जप कम से कम ९० दिन तक रोज करें या एक लाख पूरा होने तक जप करते रहें. अंत में हवन हो सके तो श्रेष्ठ अन्यथा २५ हजार जप और करें.ग्रहबाधा, ग्रहपीड़ा, रोग, जमीन-जायदाद का विवाद, हानि की सम्भावना या धन-हानि हो रही हो, वर-वधू के मेलापक दोष, घर में कलह, सजा का भय या सजा होने पर, कोई धार्मिक अपराध होने पर और अपने समस्त पापों के नाश के लिए महामृत्युंजय या लघु मृत्युंजय मंत्र का जाप किया या कराया जा सकता है.
समस्त संसार के पालनहार, तीन नेत्र वाले शिव की हम अराधना करते हैं। विश्व में सुरभि फैलाने वाले भगवान शिव मृत्यु न कि मोक्ष से हमें मुक्ति दिलाएं।|| इस मंत्र का विस्तृत रूप से अर्थ ||हम भगवान शंकर की पूजा करते हैं, जिनके तीन नेत्र हैं, जो प्रत्येक श्वास में जीवन शक्ति का संचार करते हैं, जो सम्पूर्ण जगत का पालन-पोषण अपनी शक्ति से कर रहे हैं,उनसे हमारी प्रार्थना है कि वे हमें मृत्यु के बंधनों से मुक्त कर दें, जिससे मोक्ष की प्राप्ति हो जाए.जिस प्रकार एक ककड़ी अपनी बेल में पक जाने के उपरांत उस बेल-रूपी संसार के बंधन से मुक्त हो जाती है, उसी प्रकार हम भी इस संसार-रूपी बेल में पक जाने के उपरांत जन्म-मृत्यु के बन्धनों से सदा के लिए मुक्त हो जाएं, तथा आपके चरणों की अमृतधारा का पान करते हुए शरीर को त्यागकर आप ही में लीन हो जाएं.

Pitra Dosh is a Karmic Debt of the forefathers and reflected in the horoscope in the form of planetary sequence.
Pitra Dosh is the set of bad luck resulting in people’s lives because of the curse given by the departed forefathers. Pitru dosh can bring about many crisis situations in the family and cause major restlessness.
People who leave their bodies at the time of death enter the world of forefathers known as Pitru Loka. Those residing in the pitru Loka feel extreme anguish of hunger and thirst. They cannot, however, eat anything on their own and can only accept the offerings given to them during Shraadh rituals. It is, therefore, necessary for the children to conciliate them through the continuous observance of the Shraadh ceremony. Defaults in this can invite the anger of the forefathers and result in Pitru Dosh.
Pitra Dosh is not the curse of forefathers. However, it is a Karmic Debt of the ancestors and is to be paid by the person having Pitru Dosh in his astrology. In simple words, a Pitru Dosh is in the horoscope of a person, when his/her ancestors have committed some mistakes, crimes or sins. So in return, this person pays the Karmic debt by going through various punishments decided for those debts in different spheres of his life.
